On June 3, 2020, the data source used by OC Health Agency switched to the California Department of Public Health (CADPH) daily inventory of hospital status. The Orange County data represents the 26 hospitals with emergency receiving centers and licensed ICU beds.
There are however 33 hospitals in Orange County that the Department of Public Health is tracking for hospitalizations. Additionally, OC Health Agency starts reporting hospital data on 4/21/2020, although the CADPH starts as early as 4/1. I can't explain why the County reports this way.
My intent is to only use the data that OC Health Agency makes available to ensure consistency. However, if you want to see the data for all 33 hospitals click here
